admin Nachdem das Samsung Galaxy Nexus schon von Haus aus mit Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich ausgerüstet ist, bekommt dieses als Referenzsmartphone natürlich auch als erstes Device etwaige Updates geboten. So wird derzeit ein neues Update auf Version Android 4.0.2 ausgerollt, das vom Galaxy Nexus automatisch angeboten werden sollte, insofern dieses mit dem Internet verbunden ist.
Das Update auf Android 4.0.2 soll dabei auch over the air zur Verfügung stehen, zudem ist der Download manuell möglich. Aus den USA gibt es dank Mobilfunkanbieter Verizon Wireless ein offizielles Changelog geboten, das die Änderungen und Verbesserungen des Updates auf Google Android 4.0.2 Ice Cream Sandwich aufzeigt. Und dieses Changelog sieht folgendermaßen aus:

- Optimized Mobile Hotspot when used with VPN.
- Optimized 3G/4G data sessions for faster response times.
- Fixed an incorrect notification that “data wasdisconnected due to roaming”.
- Wi-Fi now automatically reconnects when returning to a known Access Point.
- Improvements to special visual effects feature when using front-facing camcorder.
- Visual improvements to the lock screen.
Email and Messaging
- Fixed an issue where some email attachments would not open correctly.
Apps and Widgets
- DivX support has been removed, and will be supported in a future upgrade.
- Improved audio volume in Google navigation turn-by-turn directions.
